Overview
Psychotherapeutic Services of Southern Maryland
(PSoSM) provides intensive, brokerage case management
services to clients in Charles County, Maryland.
Services are delivered wherever they are most
effective for the client: in our offices, in
the client’s home, in the community, in
treatment programs, or other appropriate locations.
Objective
Psychotherapeutic Services’ case managers
are advocates for our clients in procuring entitlements
and services to help them live successfully
and independently in the community.
Population Served
Psychotherapeutic Services serves adult residents
of Charles County who have primary DSM-IV diagnoses
including schizophrenia, schizotypal personality
disorder, borderline personality disorder, mood
disorder, and other psychotic disorders.
Other Admission Criteria
Other factors for admission may include: Severity
of dysfunction, particularly as related to daily
living skills, housing, employment, and social
support; number of crises requiring hospitalization;
and/or shortfall in the provision of necessary
services.
Fees & Charges
There is no charge to the client for Psychotherapeutic
Services case management services. Psychotherapeutic
Services is compensated on a fee-for-service
basis by Maryland Health Partners.
Services in Detail
· Assessment: Social, family, cultural,
medical, developmental, legal, vocational, psychiatric,
economic
· Benefit and entitlement assistance:
Medical, pharmaceutical, TEMA, food stamps,
SSI, SSDI, and others
• Referrals for treatment and other services
• Monitoring of response to services
• Advocacy and assistance with service
providers
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Emergency services: 24 hours a day, 365 days
a year
